About LTC Intel
Everything we do is designed to improve the safety, well-being, and quality of life for residents in long-term care facilities.
Improving resident care begins with better information.
LTC Intel was created to make long-term care data easier to understand and act on. Large volumes of federal information about long-term care facilities, staffing, quality outcomes, ownership, and resident safety are released every month. While the data is public, it is rarely presented in a way that supports informed decision-making.
LTC Intel turns this complexity into clear and independent intelligence that helps the people who shape long-term care, including administrators, managers, policymakers, researchers, advocates, investors, and journalists. Our purpose is to equip these stakeholders with insights that strengthen quality of life for residents in Medicare/Medicaid-certified long-term care facilities.
The Impact of Clear, Accessible Data
Residents deserve stable staffing, safe environments, and consistent, high-quality care. Decision-makers often must rely on fragmented spreadsheets, difficult federal portals, or anecdotal information. LTC Intel helps fill this gap by making the data usable and accessible.
Our reports and data tools help stakeholders:
- Identify strengths and risks at the state, county and facility level
- Benchmark performance against peers or state averages
- Spot workforce instability
- Understand ownership and chain-level patterns
- Track survey, safety, and enforcement trends
- Make data-informed decisions that support resident well-being
Our Approach
Our work focuses on organizing complex data in ways that allow meaningful insight. The method is built around making information clearer and easier to interpret and then apply to resident care.
We aim to provide:
- Clear, objective analysis rooted in publicly available federal datasets
- Actionable context that supports improvement
- A resident-centered lens on quality, safety, and performance
We began with Oregon as the first state-level report in 2025 and are in the process of expanding nationally.
